Farm Happenings

Tomato box reservations are available! Please fill out this form to reserve your tomato box. Please be aware that only mixed variety tomato boxes are available currently.

Some tomato boxes will be available today for walk up sales.

This Saturday (8/9) is You-Pick Day at the farm from 9-11AM.

If you need to pick up your share late on Friday, please message Kristi via text or email.

Here is our handy-dandy guide for you-pick, including where to find the field, harvest methods, and other useful information.

Farm Stand this week:

  • Beets – $4/pound
  • Corn seconds – $0.50/ear
  • Cucumbers, pickling – $0.50/each
  • Eggplant – $1-2/each depending on size
  • Honey – $14/jar
  • Melons – $3-4 depending on size
  • Peppers, Bell – $1/each
  • Peppers, Bullhorn – $1/each
  • Peppers, hot/specialty – 3 for $1
  • Potatoes, $6/bag (3lbs)
  • Shallots – $1-2 each, depending on size
  • Summer squash (Zucchini Mexicana, Patty Pan, and Yellow squash), $1-1.50/each depending on size
  • Tomatoes – $3.50/pound hybrid, $4/pound heirloom.
  • Tomatoes, bulk (mixed variety) – $30/25 pounds

Recipes & Tips for This Week’s Share

This Poblano, corn and potato gratin recipe uses this week’s share potatoes and poblanos along with and farmstand sweet corn in a delicious and unique way.

If you’re looking for a a quick and easy way to cook this week’s sweet peppers and tasty garlic, try this recipe for Peppers roasted with garlic.

A creative way to use the hot peppers in this weeks share is this Jalapeno jam, great on sandwiches and as a topping for other dishes.
